Previous results suggest next to zero. Hardly a candidate in sight suggesting a poor 'ground game' in all the wards contested.

In the ones where we have no candidate, none whatsoever!  Even in all the others, I'd say they're pretty long shots, but I have no local knowledge concerning how hard or otherwise our local parties have been campaigning in any seat.  We do at least seem to be fielding candidates in seats where we didn't stand last time, which will please Mark Pack.

Last candidate in Colsterworth in 2017, last candidate in Ferryhill in 2008 and last LD candidate in Wickham Bishops in 1987 (they actually gained the seat by 12 votes, but their winner got reelected as Independent in 1991 and lost in 1995 to a Conservative), they never stood in Woodham.

Disappointingly the St Peter's ward write-up doesn't mention the best thing to come out of Thundersley:

New Thundersley is a dump, although most of it is in St Georges ward rather than St Peters. It is by far the most run down part of Castle point.

One of the cleaners at my first school had one of those, and because the car park sloped down towards Rudyard Lake, a decent gust of wind meant we were all recruited after class to help right it - given this week’s inclement weather we’d have probably needed Staffordshire Police’s dive team!

There’s also a business in Burslem that used to have the exclusive contract for repairing them, and when they were withdrawn on safety grounds people were told to return them to this supplier, and then nothing; last I had heard 127 remained on a makeshift car park not far from Vale Park footie ground.

When I was a kid (1960s) there was a woman, a polio sufferer, in our village who drove one of those.

Right up until I became housebound in 1996 there was a guy who sold the Manchester Evening News every evening outside Woolworths on Mostyn Street in Llandudno; my mum insisted on buying one every night of our holidays.
