Will be interesting to see whether the Conservative maintained second position at stage 5.

Lib Dem 2.7% and prob a few Green votes out of the +4% prob stopped them getting 2nd place on 1st prefs

Will be interesting to see whether the Conservative maintained second position at stage 5. Conservative did maintain their position through to Stage 5. They added 340 votes to their first preference tally whilst SNP added 478 - 652 (44%) did not transfer to final stage,

Interesting that a lot of Labour votes transferred to SNP, nearly as many as to Tory.

Interesting that a lot of Labour votes transferred to SNP, nearly as many as to Tory. Not surprising in a new town like Livingston, this I believe would almost definitely score high on the list of wards with highest percentages of pro Indy Labour supporters. A lot of the people living in Scottish new towns see the prospect of Indy as a fresh start for Scotland I would reason, but want it to be a left wing one.
