The PPC-section has all individual races, but unfortunately i found no summary-thread. (Demonstrating once more the AngloSaxon InClination for nominalism, what let already break Your Empire break apart...)

Personally I think we have quite enough crime without electing people to commission more of it.

The Conservatives can now happily walk from Lands End to Scotland, or Wales, going through only Conservative PCC seats.

Personally I think we have quite enough crime without electing people to commission more of it. The Home Office does not seem to understand that English lacks case markings and thinks we can read their minds. These Commissioners are meant to be pro-police and anti-crime but there is nothing in the job title to make that clear. I recall the fuss over an attempt to rename the Crown Prosecution Service to the Public Prosecution Service some years back, which was said to be planned in order to show that said service "is on the side of the public" when in fact simply changing one word to 'public' would have done nothing of the sort.

I don't think the police commissioners have anything to do with crime.

Why does he refer it to 'reverse' electoral reform? All the posts which use SV have done so from the outset - there has never been any reform of the system used in those elections so there cannot be any 'reverse' of those reforms

All the posts which use SV have done so from the outset - there has never been any reform of the system used in those elections so there cannot be any 'reverse' of those reforms might refer to his personal prejudices. I hate the way non fptp systems are referred to as 'electoral reform'-the latter word usually for me implies something better!
