So Con have 3 as "last elected" and 3 as "next in line". Labour have 2 as last elected and 2 as next in line SNP have 1 as last elected and 1 as next in line Green have 2 as last elected and 2 as next in line. So well balanced.

This is a classic example of “nothing to see here” I think that is missing Boogies point. If the ‘right ones’ had been flipped (not all of them) the result could have been Indy parties plus four (and an SNP) majority or unionists plus three

Has anybody got the vote totals from West Scotland. I have seen it suggested that Alba cost the SNP a seat but I can't find the actual figures to verify that.

Therefore the closest the SNP came to getting the 65th seat (and a majority) was Dumbarton where Jackie Baillie survived by 1,483 votes, thanks largely to a big increase of tactical votes from Conservative Party supporters. Amusingly those Tories who saved the Dumbarton constituency for Baillie not only prevented an SNP majority but also saved their own party a seat as well. Had Baillie lost the constituency she would have been back in on the list and Labour would have gained a list seat at the Tories expense.

Is anyone interested in Wales 🏴? An additional 2,992 Labour votes in Mid and West Wales would have given them another list seat (at the expenses of the Lib Dems) and thus a majority.
