The incumbent of the "liberal-conservative" (whatever tribes aso. this label hides) NewPatrioticParty/NPP was reelected, rather narrowly (51.6%:47.4%). In the parliament NPP is at 137 of 275 seats, the "socialdemocratic" NDC at 135, 1 Independent and 2 are not decided so far. President 2016: Tribes:

None of the other candidates received anywhere at least 2.5%, thus i didn't copy them. If anyone is interested in them, i can publish/send the full data.

And a name (although the other way round) given to a Black comedy sketch show which was briefly on the box in the late 90s early 2000s. Linguistically it is supposed to be an exclamation of surprise ie "I don't believe it!".

Talk about "balance of power" Who was that Irish independent who once held Fianna Fail to ransom for his vote and happily said his job was to get the best deal for his constituency? Tony Gregory, after he was first elected at the general election of February 1982, got a deal worth up to £100 million, but much of it was lost at the subsequent FG-Lab victory in November of 1982.
