A much closer result than in Grenada. Of the 30 single-member constituencies of the House of Assembly, preliminary results show the Democratic Labour Party taking 16 seats (down 4 from 2008) and the Barbados Labour Party taking 14 (up 4). The former is the more right-wing of the two parties.

I'd have said that it's the other way round - the Barbados Labour Party tends to be considered 'softer left' than the Democratic Labour Party.

Quite a reverse of the previous election- this time the Barbados Labour Party has won all 30 seats. Barbados has its first woman Prime Minister.

I wonder whether Barbados is now the only genuine democracy in the world where one party holds 100% of seats.

It's probably exaggerated how much that mattered. The government's defeat was mostly due to mismanagement of the economy and environment incl. a "sewage crisis" that has set their tourist industry back a lot.

Quite a reverse of the previous election- this time the Barbados Labour Party has won all 30 seats. Barbados has its first woman Prime Minister. Immediately after the election, one BLP MP defected so that there could be an official Leader of the Opposition. So now the House of Assembly is BLP 29, People’s Party 1. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Atherley

Also explains why the switch to a Republic was a political stitch up and not put to a referendum.

What’s the difference between DLP and BLP? And is the DLP dead?

The Senate (the upper house) has opposition representatives. Wes Hall was a member of the DLP - so as far as I know, still is
