I had a weird dream last night that the US Presidential Election system was even more weird and devolved than it is.
The system worked by having directly elected electors for each County rather than State.
And rather like historical British parliamentary elections, party descriptions and presidential candidate names were not allowed on the ballot paper so everyone had to concentrate on informing their voters about who was going to vote for which presidential candidate.
It appeared to operate extremely erratically and in my dream there was a dispute involving Biden using a “Literal Democrat” style candidate in rural West Virginia to try and steal electors from the local Republican front runner as they had the same surname.

I have weird dreams like this too. I recommend reducing exposure to political websites, including this one.

I had a weird dream that Rudi Guliani appeared at a press conference dripping brown stuff while blaming vote fixing on someone whose been dead for five years. Oh and he advocated a coup.
It was a dream wasn't it?

I have weird dreams like this too. I recommend reducing exposure to political websites, including this one. Especially this one! I once had a dream that I was visiting Croydon. And guess who I met there.

I had a dream recently about a presidential election (I think it was based on one of the ones that my avatar won in "The Political Process"), except they were using a direct popular vote with IRV.

Does the forum have an onsite counsellor that you can talk to?

Does the forum have an onsite counsellor that you can talk to? Why do you ask?

Before Supertuesday I dreamt that the results were generally underwhelming for Sanders (this part turned out to be prophetic) and that Marianne Williamson won a state somehow.

I had a dream in which the Republicans won the Michigan Senate race and that Alek Skarlatos, the Republican running in Oregon's 4th Congressional District, had died.

I had a dream in which President Trump was so detached from reality that he descended into a complete mental breakdown, rambling incoherently, not just not accepting that he had lost the election but actually unaware of having lost the election. Mike Pence and the rest of the Cabinet were so concerned about his mental state (and afraid that he might do something silly like nuke North Korea) that they removed him from office by means of the 25th Amendment just a few days before 20th January and had him forcibly removed and restrained. President Pence then did a proper job of being President for the next few days and co-operated properly with the Biden transition team.
