I had a Burmese NLD T-Shirt when I was 10 (in 1990), so back when they were still cool.
My brother smuggled it out of the country as he was working there at the time. Probably at quite high risk to himself.
Not sure how many people at my middle school appreciated it’s street cred. They all had those Head gym bags instead.
