Almost missed it due to some other insignificant electoral event that happened on Tuesday, but Belize holds its general election on the 11th. The two main parties are the governing United Democratic Party (UDP) and the opposition People's United Party (PUP). The PUP ran Belize from independence to 2008 when a major corruption scandal saw them reduced to 6 of the 31 seats and the UDP have been in power ever since. The 2015 result was 19-12 to the UDP.
From what I can find out, PUP are the more Lefty of the two and seem to perform best in the rural inland areas with some strength in Belize City. UDP are the more right-wing and seem to dominate the more densely populated coastal areas

I thought to had already written on the GE in November, nevertheless i found no thread on Belize. 4 months after winning 60%: ...the new left government is still in a honeymoon and won in local elections all town-councillors (less 1 mayor & councillor in a western one): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2021_Belizean_municipal_elections
