"won every ward" is a bit of an ambiguous phrase in the context of an all up election I would argue...it implies they won every seat (to me at least) It could be seen to imply that but I would expect the phrase 'won every seat' to be used if that is what was meant Top psephological boxing . One for Boogie's fight thread?

Croydon has an entitlement to 3.5 seats and consequently all three of the existing seats are over quota - all with an electorate over 80,000 (almost 90,000 in the case of Croydon North). On the initial proposals Croydon North was effectively to be split into two seats, along the line of the Brighton Main Line. The Western hald would take the name and the majority of voters from Croydon North but also gain the Longthornton ward of Merton and Fairfield and most of Waddon in Central Croydon. 'Norwood' was to be a new constituency, again taking most of its voters from this seat together with a couple of wards in the Norwood area of Lambeth. The revised proposals are simpler and avoid crossing the boundary with Merton. Instead South Norwood remains and all of Waddon and a small part of Woodside are added. Despite this being closer to the existing boundaries the name is rather needlessly changed to 'Croydon West & South Norwood'. All the areas included are safely Labour apart from Waddon which is marginal. The remainder of this constituency - Crystal Palace & Upper Norwood, Norbury and Thornton Heath is joined with Streatham in an entirely new seat - Streatham & Norbury. The majority (narrowly) of voters in that seat come from Streatham so will be discussed under the entry for that seat. 2019 Notional result - Croydon West & South Norwood Lab | 30311 | 64.8% | Con | 10716 | 22.9% | LD | 3604 | 7.7% | Grn | 1336 | 2.9% | BxP | 623 | 1.3% | Oth | 216 | 0.5% | | | | Majority | 19595 | 41.9% |
