The only Commonwealth country in South America is having a general election today, after a vote of no confidence brought down the government of David Granger (People's National Congress - Reform). They had a majority of one seat after the 2015 election but lost the vote because one MP voted with the opposition.
The electoral system seems to be similar to the German one - ten districts return a total of 25 members to the National Assembly, with the remaining 40 elected from closed lists nationwide.
