It only seems like yesterday we were talking about whether or not Gary Sambrook would become the MP for Birmingham, Northfield (hold up it was!). Yes, that's what happens when you have a general election halfway between local elections. And just as in the general election we have a multitude of options, we have the local elections for the 118 councils that were last elected in 2019, five Metro Mayors, three borough Mayors, 36 Police and Crime Comissioners, one London Mayor and twenty five London Assembly Members, so therefore instead of me saying what positions are available and which parties are standing in them, I am going to let everyone who is a forum member and standing for any of those elections tell us which party and for what position they are standing in.

From the Nuneaton and Bedworth thread the other day: Just for a bit of interest, I'm standing here for Labour in Arbury.

Just to be in the spirit of election fever, and also solidarity in a time of crisis, we'll call it unopposed returns for all our councillors this year.
