I wouldn't be so disheartened. It clearly saved the Green Party's deposit in the Vale of Glamorgan.

The pacts will mostly have helped the favoured party in each seat but only marginally considering the low levels of support for the other parties had they stood. Might have accidentally helped Labour in constituencies where they were the target. Wonβt have changed any seats hands, but had the night been slightly worse for the Tories then quite a few seats would have went Lib Dem or Labour thanks to a smaller party not standing.
