Would have been a rather different result if the rest ( 40% or so ) of the adult population had been allowed to vote . Yes, and......?? I wonder if any attempt has been made to identify the "lonesome three" yet

I am mightily delighted at this result, inevitable though it was.

Would have been a rather different result if the rest ( 40% or so ) of the adult population had been allowed to vote . Probably not. I can't think of any reason why Chileans or St. Helenans would want Argentinian rule, even if they might not be as viscerally opposed.

Or do a lot of the RAF people there secretly regard the whole thing as a bit of a nuisance?

Or do a lot of the RAF people there secretly regard the whole thing as a bit of a nuisance? I'd have thought it was one of the cushier postings to have. It certainly beats Afghanistan.

Falklands referendum count just about to get underway. Last of the fixed station ballot boxes now arrived in Stanley town hall. Count is according to usual British rules, first stage verification, then separated and counted. Live on Falklands Radio: tunein.com/station/?StationId=111551 That link's not working for me. It goes to 88.3 and says "Error". I initially had problems but eventually got onto the live feed. They explained that Falkland Island Radio Service only has 100 internet streaming slots and they were all full for the first time ever. So if you couldn't get on, that's the reason why!
