Hence a Brexit party intervention in these places may more likely help than hinder (as UKIP did in fact in 2015)

Having said that, if these are Labour voters who would never vote Tory, I'm not sure how, by definition, they are 'swing voters'..

Vox pops are crap. Was true when they couldn’t find any Labour voters in safe Labour seats and still true when they can’t find any Tories there.

Having said that, if these are Labour voters who would never vote Tory, I'm not sure how, by definition, they are 'swing voters'.. The same media logic that makes Tory-voting Leavers in the North and Midlands 'Labour's Core Vote', I would imagine.
