Excellent result for the Greens in Oslo in particular-third place behind only Labour (Arbeitpartiet) and Conservative (Hoyre) and not too far behind either. The Greens did not make that much progress outside Oslo, however.

I'm not sure about that. The rural areas are the Centre heartland, as they are a Nordic Agrarian party. If they could surge anywhere, it is the countryside and coast.

ElectionResults in the 20 most populous cities/towns:

The blue bloc would have an outRight-majority in most entities, in industrial Skien/Telemark it will depend on proOil INP, in Bergen & Moss they can choose between them and local N.I.M.B.Y.-groups. Only the 2 northern Trondheim & Tromsö will have left majorities (and the former also only with agrarian CenterP.). Alesund - the capital of Möre&Romsdal, where the Frp-leader is from - might get a mayor from this party.
