To/yesterDay were gubernatorial elections held in Puebla, BajaCalifornia (ruled by PAN since the 1980ies) and 2 other states. ExitPolls see unsurprisingly sweeps by MORENA.

Puebla is relatively narrow: 80% counted and the candidate of MORENA+PT+VERDE is at 43%, PAN+PRD 36%, PRI 17%.

Baja California was the first break in the old PRI hegemony I think? Way back in 1989, I think.
MORENA have obviously done very well - I wonder if the current conflict with Trump is leading Mexicans to rally round their President.

2 states have so far had only governors from 1 party (the PRI, of course): MexicoLand & Coahuila (in the North) - and both are up tomorrow (and exactly this late date explains, why PRI hasn't lost them some years earlier). With the State of Mexico (13.5% of pop.) certain to fall to them, over 2/3 of the country will be governed by the MRPRI, the Moviemento ReGeneraciĆ³n PRI:

Winner as expected: MexicoLand for MoReNa, Coahuila for PRI.
But not the margins, which are for MoReNa not overwhelming...
