The departure of May and more talk of a harder firmer Brexit will have helped. Is it enough? Is this too soon? I hope that the enormity of our reverses will bring loyalists back to the fold in solidarity for the party as a party. We shall see. Thank goodness the BP are not standing.

I would certainly expect a Lib Dem gain in Herefordshire in the current climate.

Numbers from twitter.
HEREFORDSHIRE Ross North
BARTRUM, Chris (Liberal Democrat) 547 GIBBS, Nigel Thomas (Conservative) 136 HODGES, Melvin Brian (Labour) 45
I had the biggest Lib Dem win in the prediction competition but even I underestimated that one.

Any news at all from South Staffs? Are they counting tonight? This after all is the by-election result we are all awaiting eagerly, isn't it?

Apparently the Green Party won the Wombourne parish council seat. No tweets about the district election.

A local Green Party activist advises me that Wombourne South West was two Conservative holds with the Green Party candidate as runner-up.

Apparently the Green Party won the Wombourne parish council seat. No tweets about the district election. I think this would be a split result as there were 4 seats and only 1 or 2 Green candidates. I know this because in preparing this thread I spent several minutes looking at the SOPN wondering why the Tories had 4 candidates for 2 seats before realising that I was looking at the parish rather than district SOPN.

It would be nice if South Staffs council could find the time to post the result on their website. Today would be nice.
