Something a bit different from the usual VI polls that we have on here. I've created a survey that people can respond to regarding a couple of topics ahead of the European parliament elections: linkThe questions asked are: - How likely are you to vote (0-10)?
- What region are you from?
- How would you vote? (each regional list is separate from each other, with only the specific parties/candidates for that region shown)
- How likely are you to vote in another EU referendum (0-10)?
- How would you vote in a referendum?
- A nine-option ranked preferential for the UK's relationship with the EU.
- Scotland/Wales: How likely are you to vote in an independence referendum?
- Scotland/Wales: How would you vote in a referendum?
There are also a number of demographic questions (age category, gender, work type [for social grade], past vote) which will allow me to weight the poll to UK demographics should there be enough responses to do so - in which case, the poll may be more accurate than some mainstream polling organisations . It's important to note at this point that I can see each individual response, but I cannot see who has given that response - your responses are anonymous. I might share this elsewhere to boost the numbers, particularly for Scotland and Wales. If people want to share this around, feel free to do so. I'm not sure when I'll put the results up, but it will certainly be before the results are announced on the 26th May. If you find any issues with the poll feel free to mention them, so I can correct them.

The 'issues' bit was a bit like sorting electron shells, I found the top three or four easily seperatable, then the rest mushed together. You'll probably find that reflected in your final numbers.

Yeah - I'm more interested about what the top two or three that people gave were rather than what someone's eighth preference is. The point of that question was to give people enough options to see what could be someone's first preference, as well as seeing a couple of other preferences in order to see how people's high preferences compared to how they're planning to vote. It wouldn't let me have a cut off, where if someone only wanted to give three preferences (as is acceptable in preferential elections) they could remove the unwanted preferences from their response.

Sorting the various options was difficult, since only one option was actually acceptable to me. Most options seemed to be either remaining or very soft options.

I found it easier to do the bottom end, as the top end actually made me think about whether I support joining Schengen and/or the Euro.

The past vote question should counter any oversampling of any single grouping - although hopefully I can get relatively balanced figures for remain and leave voters.
