Found the federal exit poll for Brussels. Federal elections, Brussels-Capital:
PS: 20.5% (-4.4)
MR: 18% (-5.1)
Ecolo: 18% (+7.6)
DéFI: 13% (+1.9)
CDH: 10.5% (+1.2)

Looking at the results pages, the 'DEBOUT LES BELGES!' and 'ISLAM' newcomers make up for half that amount on a 4.2% share of votes counted.(Sorry, they were standing in 2014, please head over to the local elections thread for partial results) |

Now this is interesting. Two deputies from Open VLD, Verhofstadt's gang, have asked if it is now time to abandon the cordon sanitaire against the Vlaams Belang.
EDIT: Bart de Wever, Mayor of Antwerp and NV-A leader, has said his only real veto is against PS and Ecolo...

Sorry for the deleted post that was here, after checking it turns out that the VB and NVA changes for the Flemish parliament are more or less replicated at the federal level, if anything the difference is even larger so far.

Open VLD falls to 12.5%, its lowest share ever. Looks like Guy should have done some more campaigning for his own party.

And indeed there are still seats changing here too, currently cdH -1 and MR -1 for PS +2 compared to the table above with 9 districts still not complete. Which yields 76 for the mentioned combination.  Edit: And thats still where they are at with 3 polling stations in the constituency of Hainaut to declare. Its also bears worth repeating that it will be the unofficial final result as stated per the elections website. |

I don't hold much of a candle for the NV-A, although they aren't the extremists that people claimed. But- in their ranks they have Siegfried Bracke, a proper old-school intellectual bruiser. When I was there, he was a remarkably even-handed political journo. He's probably head and shoulders above anyone who will be proposed as PM. I suspect though (and my loathing for the PS is lit in neon here) that di Rupo wants the top job again. Another very intelligent bloke, but vain and in charge of a vile organisation. A di Rupo-led government will create more support for the Vlaams Blok. |

When I was there, he was a remarkably even-handed political journo. He's probably head and shoulders above anyone who will be proposed as PM. I suspect though (and my loathing for the PS is lit in neon here) that di Rupo wants the top job again. Another very intelligent bloke, but vain and in charge of a vile organisation.
