Changes from 2015 for the districts and wards can displayed on the elections site with the ' Ver resultados de 2015' button above the maps. Thank You! You mean the site of the Electoral Commission (where i can see nothing at all with my old iPhone)? Yes. www.legislativas2019.mai.gov.pt The full site has a clickable map to the right of the results, and the button is just above its frame. Needs Javascript, but that must be automatically activated in handhelds. The maps themselves aren't colour graded by strength though. Edit: One has to move to the ' Território Nacional' tab to see the map.

A pretty emphatic left of centre win. In addition to the parties in or supporting the government a few of the parties that didn't win representation were the normal left mini units. Around 55% of the vote went to various parties of the explicit Left.
The "populist" (in this case, not very popular) right managed to get one seat. The animal welfare party substantially increased their vote and representation.

It says something about the current left dominance, that the PS will if anything be slightly disappointed by the result.

It says something about the current left dominance, that the PS will if anything be slightly disappointed by the result. The corruption allegations probably dampened their result.

A useful summary, but you don't explain why you think it is an "important election in the long-term" (which I'm not disputing, but it appears pretty run of the mill to me on the face of things - not like it's a 'sea change' election or anything)

The reason is because of smaller parties (e.g. PAN, LIVRE) being able to establish a stable base meaning that the Portuguese vote will be more fragmented in future; parties to the left of the Socialists will not be as influential in future elections.

But another financial&economical MeltDown, for example, - and the ECB has done everything to enable it - could change the PartySystem entirely (or at least more than one decade ago).

The full preliminary results after the PS won a seat from the PSD yesterday when the consulates had completed their counts, with the new Belgium, Luxembourg, and UK constituencies. 'Global result' Seats | 'Abroad' be lu uk % 230 | % % % % PS 36.34 (+4.03) 108 (+22) | 26.2 (+6.2) 34.4 26.8 31.4 PSD 27.76 (-6.52)¹ 79 (-5) | 23.4 (-17.2)¹ 17 19.5 19.2 BE 9.52 (-0.67) 19 | 4.7 (+1.2) 9.2 5.3 5.9 CDU 6.33 (-1.92) 12 (-5) | 2 (-1.6) 4.2 2.3 2.7 CDS-PP 4.22 ¹ 5 (-13) | 3.4 ¹ 3.8 4 2.6 PAN 3.32 (+1.93) 4 (+4) | 4.8 (+3.5) 7.1 5.4 4.9 CHEGA! 1.29 new 1 (+1) | .9 new 1 .9 .8 IL 1.29 new 1 (+1) | 1.3 new 1.4 .5 1.6 LIVRE 1.09 (+0.36) 1 (+1) | 1 (-0.2) 2.7 .6 1.7 others 3.97 (-0.91) | 8.5 (-6.3) 6.9 5.8 9.6 blank 2.51 (+0.42) | 1.3 (+0.7) 1.7 3.7 1.3 invalid 2.36 (+0.7) | 22.3 (+11.5) 10.6 25.2 18.2 ----------------------------------------------------------------- voters 5251064 -157741 |158252 +129904 3275 7707 14280 voter% 48.57 | 10.8 (-0.9) 17 16.4 11.4
and the difference in vote share between PS+ BE+ CDU and PSD+ CDS for these three constituencies. National Territory 52.8 32.1 [20.7] (+8.2) 'Abroad' 33 26.8 [6.2] (+22.8) Belgium Constituency 47.8 26.2 [21.6] Luxembourg Constituency 34.4 23.5 [10.9] UK Constituency 40 21.8 [18.2]
[1] PSD and CDS-PP contested the 2015 election as an electoral alliance called Portugal à Frente (Portugal Ahead). Changes are PSD+ CDS versus the 2015 PàF result. Edit: I've added in the comparisons with the turnout in 2015, but not the change in total turnout charge from 55.86% last time because the expat electorate went from 242852 to 1466784, while the resident electorate actually decreased by 96215 to 9343486 persons. The resident vote share was down 2.49% to 54.51%.
