It's less likely to happen in England and Wales because (conservative) associations (at least) are organised on a constituency basis South of the border, but on a LG area basis in Scotland (not withstanding the odd 'Federated' area, like Manchester or Salford). It tends to be the case that weaker areas in England and Wales have multi-constituency areas, whereas a relatively strong area like Aberdeenshire could have several seats in Scotland. Sorry if that's a bit rambling.
