A Labour councillor in the former leader's ward has just defected to the Lib Dems according to the council website. Kath Nickson.

Given Rochdale's form on these things, it might do.. It has the potential (and history) to be the Tower Hamlets of the North. Not with this defection, it hasn't. |

Nope, just a personal falling out. Some of those elected after the collapse of the Lib Dems were not expecting to be councillors...a bit like Sheffield Hallam, methinks. |
