It should be no surprise that I'm a big fan of Mr. Galloway... No. None at all. A populist demagogue with rapidly changing radical views and a core of repellent authoritarianism. Could only survive in an open democracy... but just the sort to nip such democracy in the bud if ever himself in charge. Dangerous, unpleasant and rather dim. Dangerous and unpleasant without a shadow of a doubt. Dim he certainly isn't - don't underestimate him.

Yes, Joe he is dim, but has that surface veneer and bluster of all successful barrack room lawyers. It's a knuckle-duster wrapped in an unctuous smile.

He has always been in the right place at the right time so far.

He has shown the ability to fool a small amount of the people for a small amount of the time.

A blog claim that Robert Morritt (East Putney ward) has been excluded from the Wandsworth Conservative group appears to have some substance as his biography no longer appears on the local party website (although his photograph does appear with a link giving a 404 error).

It may also be relevant that there's an item about him in the latest Rotten Boroughs.

Is this the same chap who Guido has alluded to frequently?

I thought of running off with the Lib Dem funds at the last GE in Crewwe & Nantwich.
But I didn't fancy going into debt.

Christ can Graham Jones write in English? I can just about tolerate "2" instead of "two" but "sum" instead of "some" makes him look like an illiterate idiot. All he needed to do was to remove 'unbelievable' (the tweet doesn't really need it) and re-write the rest.

Hertfordshire UKIP certainly seem to be making headway in the coveted MPs' Dads demographics. What's the story with the previous leadership resigning?

I have a feeling that in politics Frank Ward may be nearer to Pimp than to Pete W.

I have a feeling that in politics Frank Ward may be nearer to Pimp than to Pete W. “There are indigenous people in Borehamwood who are being forced out by immigrants with large families who take affordable housing from them and keep breeding.” I can't imagine Pimp uttering those lines. I'm not really terribly PC but that is a bit much.

He's old school West of Scotland Labour and Trade Union type. I don't know the story about the previous leadership but previously Hertsmere and Welwyn Hatfield was a joint branch and have now separated so I presume it refers to that. Anyway we have good potential in Borehamwood and having Frank Ward on board will do our chances of winning a seat no harm at all

With the views he expresses, we are well rid of him.
