www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-surrey-22121834Brett Vorley of Cranleigh East has joined the new UKIP group on Waverley Council having been an Independent for a short while after leaving the Conservatives. There are now 3 UKIP Councillors in Waverley and these form the only opposition to the ruling Conservatives.

Tom Arnold (Hazel Grove), and I am sure many others would've achieved that by 1996.

Mr Cherry is also the county councillor for Midhurst, and the candidate for May. Ihave only known him for a short while (he was elected in a by election last year) but these comments surprise me not at all.

If he had complained about Bulgarians/Roumanians instead of Asians , UKIP would have been applauding him and trying to sign him up . Conservatives might well have not been wanting to kick him out either .

"Tory West Sussex County Councillor defects to UKIP A long-serving Conservative councillor has defected to the UK Independence Party. John Livermore, who has been a West Sussex county councillor for Worthing West for 16 years, has resigned from the Conservative Party and West Worthing Conservative Association. Coun Livermore, who is not seeking re-election this year, said that he has become disillusioned with the association and the way it has “imposed” Worthing borough councillor Paul High as the candidate for the forthcoming county council elections." www.theargus.co.uk/news/10375011.Tory_Sussex_councillor_defects_to_UKIP/
