2 members of UKIP to independent according to item 4d of the next council meeting agenda (link), rumour's very thin on the ground, but believed to be down to internal disagreements, however rumours also that it is Robert Connell and Adrian Myers who have seemed to be of the more red than blue persuasion.
Make up of the council now Con 14 (1 of whom is the Mayor) Lab 14 UKIP 8 Ungrouped independents 3

last time I was there it was in Asia. If I had known Cairo was in South Asia, I would have suggested the name change to the Labour Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eeelam.
