I noticed that Sheldon ward in Birmingham had the same 3 councillors from 1991-2018: Paul Tilsley, Sue Anderson and Mike Ward (all LD). Does anyone know of any ward that would have a longer streak of the same 3 representatives for a similar or longer period? Sadly this 27 year streak was (sort of) destroyed by the boundary changes in Brum this year, although Tilsley and Ward still represent the now 2 member Sheldon ward.

I think that might be a record, no where comes to mind. Binley and Willenhall in Coventry is close- represented by John Mutton, Ram Lakha and Dave Chater from 1991-2016.
Now that the Sheldon run has been broken, any suggestions for which ward now has the same 3 representatives for the longest period?

Linked question from me- how many principal authority councillors are there who have served continuously since Local Governent reorganisation in 1974 are there now?
I’m pretty sure there are none in Somerset, Devon and Cornwall now. The last 3 in Somerset retired in 2015.

There are at least 2 in Dorset - Stella Jones (Liberal then LD, representing wards in Dorchester continously on West Dorset, and at County level at times as well), and Ron Coatsworth (Independent then Conservative, representing wards typically just east of Bridport, continously on West Dorset and at County as well, including currently). Trevor Jones (Liberal then Lib Dem) is almost another one, but he lost to Labour on West Dorset District Council in 1991, and wasn't elected as a county councillor until 1993. EDIT: Come to think of it Stella Jones and her ward colleague Tim Harries are contenders for the original question. They've both continuously represented Dorchester East since 1991.

He's been on the Borough since it was created and was previously on Fareham UD for the last two years of its existence.

David Campion and Doreen Weatherhead represented Pembridge ward in RBKC together from 1964-1971 and then again from 1971-2014 when Weatherhead retired. Campion was deselected in 2018. Barbara Campbell joined them both from 1990, so they spent 24 years together as a set of three.

Paul was elected in Sheldon in 1988 (I think without checking records). Sue was elected in 1990 (when I was first elected in Acocks Green)

I think my own ward of Breaston in Erewash must be some sort of record breaker in this respect. Not only has Roger Parkinson been serving since before 1973 (I don't have the Shardlow results to hand for the exact figures), but we've had very stable teams in general:
1973-1983: Robert Parkinson/H Gill/H Pemberton 1983-2003: Robert Parkinson/H Pemberton/Margaret Orchard 2003-2015: Robert Parksinon/Margaret Orchard 2015-: Robert Parkinson/Kevin Miller
Which you could probably count as 1983-2015 for Robert Parkinson/Margaret Orchard considering the seat reduction in the middle there.

For where I live, the Conwy UA has only been around since the mid 1990s, but quite a few of its councillors have served on its predecessor authorities, the Aberconwy Distric Council and the Colwyn District Council.
Looking through the results posted on the Elections Centre website, I think the most senior councillor has to be Philip C. Evans, Independent* - Tudno ward**; initially elected as a Conservative to the Aberconwy DC for Llandudno East in 1976, his long service record pretty much confirmed by his personal bio posted on the Conwy Authority website.
On the Colwyn DC side, insofar as I can tell the councillor with the longest continuous service is Brian Cossey, Lib Dem - Colwyn ward**; first elected in 1990 under the SLD banner (at least according to what's posted on the Elections Centre site, could've sworn the Lib Dems have been around in their current form for slightly longer than that, perhaps someone else could enlighten me a little on that).
* Well, elected as an independent but sits as a member of the Conwy First Independent group. Right now, what with there being an Independent Group, the Conwy First Independent group, and the Independent Party***, so it's a bit "People's Front of Judea" where the "Independents" on the Conwy CBC are concerned, if you catch my meaning...
** Division, ward, whatever...
*** Well ok, the members of this group are actually 3 former Plaid Cymru councillors who jumped ship in order to remain in a coalition with the Conservative Party group after Plaid Cymru's higher-ups said no to doing a deal with the Tories.
