The general election may only have been called just over a week ago but I have managed to in that time create a Conservative / Labour / Liberal Democrat Battleground (showing defences and targets), a Conservative / Labour swingometer (ranging 20% in both directions) and am tracking the polls as the campaign goes on and yet I find myself thinking "Can I make it any better?" therefore I am opening it to the floor to see what else I could do. The data I have on hand is: General Election Votes 2015 (including Electorates), Estimated EU referendum vote shares and declaration times 2015

You seem to have a strange definition of 'better', Harry. Sheer volume of data alone is not really a marker of quality.

Plaid and the SNP are already included in the main battlegrounds (as Labour are targeting several SNP seats as well as Carmarthen East)

Harry, sounds great so far. Any chance you could share with us? Do you have referendum vote shares by constituency, because I would be v interested in seeing that.

By all means, that data was published by Chris Hanratty via his Twitter feed but what I have done is put it into the context of the battlegrounds (so I have a battleground for both Con and Lab in the conventional manner and then a battleground made up entirely of seats that voted to LEAVE) and for the Liberal Democrats a conventional battleground with LEAVE seats highlighted.

It would be nice if the BBC or Sky or ITN or someone had a webpage on election night with the running totals and running percentage changes as the results come in.

RodCrosby (who used to post on PoliticalBetting before he got banned) tried to do one in 2010 using volunteers, but it didn't work out because he only had about 10 volunteers and you'd need a lot more than that due to the high volume of results coming in at about 3-4am in recent elections.
