You could download the Excel spreadsheet of constituency statistics from the Parliament website and it gives the declaration times within said spreadsheet. Use the sort function to list the declaration times from earliest to latest. The one danger (potentially) is dealing with constituencies which declares before midnight, since sorting may put those last. For heaven's sake - even a novice Excel user knows how to fix that.

A question about knighthoods.
Can you start calling yourself "Sir" immediately the New Year's Honours list is published or is the honour not official until you physically attend the ceremony at the palace?
Also how can you find out on what date an individual attended their ceremony? Are lists published anywhere?

Also how can you find out on what date an individual attended their ceremony? Are lists published anywhere? The knighthood is conferred immediately the honours list is published. Lists of which knighthoods were conferred at which investiture are published every so often in the London Gazette - for instance here: www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/2589543

Isn't there still a practice of conferring the style, rank & privileges on widows and children if the recipient dies between the honours list and the investiture? If the knighthood is conferred automatically, why the need to do that?

Dunno but it does still happen. Here's an example: www.thegazette.co.uk/notice/2541865Sir David MacKay featured in the New Year's Honours list of 2016 but died in April 2016 before investiture.

Yes this applies to wives/widows, but not to children , who get no recognition anyway in the case of knights. My father was knighted in 1972 and lived just over a year after his investiture. My Mum had taken the title of Lady and continued to use it until her own death a decade later. I got to the palace to see the investiture ceremony performed by HM but as the son of a Knight Bachelor you get nothing, except to sound as though you must be a bit of a bastard. My Dad was a bit conscious of this in a some sort of romantic way, and was therefore persuaded ( quite a hard sell I suspect) by the College of Heralds to invest in a coat of arms which he could hand on to his sons . I do wear a signet ring with my coat of arms on it and have various versions of it (some more heraldically correct than others) framed and on the walls of spare bedrooms ( not actually in the loos!) but never went so far as my brother in having notepaper with the family crest on it! I do cringe a bit at the whole snobbish thing, but am still very proud of my Dad and what he achieved in his lifetime..

There are some privileges for children of members of orders - e.g. Lucy Davis daughter of Jasper Carrot OBE, was able to get married at St Paul's Cathedral because of this. www.chroniclelive.co.uk/lifestyle/showbiz/lucys-good-day-office-1558988 I presume these also get warranted in the relevant circumstances.

That is really weird ( my Dad was also an MBE, could I have got married in St Pauls?) - I can only assume the cathedral authorities had good reason for wanting to say yes to "millionaire comedian Jasper Carrot" and hit on the OBE as the escape clause?

No, it's an OBE thing - my dad is one and mentioned that I could have got married and/or had my children baptised in St Paul's. As neither my wife or I are/were Christian we didn't even consider it, but the quirkiness of the perk amused me.

What's the least populated settlement to be included in a constituency title?
I remember reading SOMERTON in 'Somerton & Frome' was very small as well as NORTH HYKEHAM in 'Sleaford & North Hykeham'

I think Atcham (pop 243) is probably the winner.

Anyone know what's happened to the Britain Elects website? I went there to look at the 2019 Local Election Results which they've done a good job on but I can't find it now...

I imagine the problem is related to their collaboration with the New Statesman over the GE period, which saw their content moved to the New Statesman site. However, they're supposed to have reverted to the old arrangements now. andrewteale may well know a bit more.

I remember reading SOMERTON in 'Somerton & Frome' was very small as well as NORTH HYKEHAM in 'Sleaford & North Hykeham' Somerton is an historic town in central Somerset with a similar population to many of the other towns nearby, around 5,000. This part of the county is relatively isolated and has thus escaped the development that other towns in the county have seen in the last 100 years. Frome, which is quite a distance away, is much larger though. North Hykeham is quite an extensive area of Lincoln suburbia, and its population isn't far below Sleaford's.

We complement each other - or we will once I get back in touch with the people behind BE and find out what the plan is. There are no principal by-elections this week so there's no rush.
