Not so much of a defection as more of a "coming out". I feel that at least on this forum, what party I belong to doesn't matter as I'm sure most people here can realise that my motivation to make maps has nothing to do with my political leanings.

I picked up a leaflet from an opposition (to me) candidate in a neighbouring ward where he states he's an "unashamed election statistics and maps nerd". Argh! I'm so conflicted!

That's OK as long as your wonderful maps aren't replaced by dodgy bar charts.

You'll be happy to hear that as a Maths Student I wouldn't dare create an inaccurate graph.

Aha! I always had my suspicions that yorkshireluke was a Lib Dem! The usage of Lib Dem heavy maps in profile pictures and orange theme on your twitter page was what led me to my prediction. I feel like I should 'come out' too but I just know that someone from Twitter will spot it and cause a mass boycott of myself...

My use of maps in profile pictures is simply down to where I happen to live. As for the colour... well all I'm saying is you should compare the colour of that theme to the Lib Dem colour I use in my maps.

Every time this thread pops up and stays active, I'm checking it in case there's a flood of floor crossers, but instead it's usually just slack water. All part of the job. No TIG supporters yet?

I could make you a Whig.

I could make you a Whig. I think I'll stay non-aligned (#impartiality and all that jazz) Also I'm not a Whig either! I consider myself socially left and economically centre-left. That's all the information you'll be getting out of me!
