They've completely ignored the community ties thing by splitting Leamington and Warwick.

Slightly surprised that Stroud, which is oversized, gains wards from edge of Gloucester (viz. Quedgeley) - so naturally has to lose even more elsewhere.
On face of it should make Stroud more feasible as a re-gain for Labour, since the losses are in the rural fringes. I think this proposed seat would have been retained by David Drew in 2010 and maybe regained in 2015. Depends rather on local Labour party putting up a good candidate - some local councillors spring to mind, esp. as the District Council is a Labour-led "traffic light" coalition. But very hard to call with state of Labour nationally - it's still going to be a big ask to take Stroud from the Conservatives IMO and anyone trying needs to be on the top of their game.
Dursley, Thornbury & Yate looks promising for LDs, given previous strength in Thornbury & Yate and transfer of the main LD areas of (relative) strength from Stroud District Council. Including wards previously in The Cotswolds constituency - probably making that even safer for the Tories.

My nomination for worst name award so far goes to Bebington and Heswall. Two reasons, both named places are in the south of the proposed constituency (ignoring the far more significant than Heswall West Kirby or Hoylake in the north) but the absolutely hilarious reason is that, erm, virtually none of Bebington is in the constituency (only Higher Bebington west of the railway line). Absolute genius.
Oh, and they've split Bromborough, again (as in the zombie, it's just a smaller bit this time). It's even worse because they've wantonly, unnecessarily split Bebington as well...

Having a first look at London. Absolute butchery with orphaned wards all over the place. And some terrible names too. Why retain a 'Holborn and St Pancras' when Holborn ward is moving into CofL&W? Why have a 'Hampstead and Golders Green' when Golders Green ward is in the Hendon seat? I've seen absolutely *nothing* I've remotely liked the look of yet. First time poster, BTW. Welcome! Good first post!

There are rather large PDF maps on the website. Or if you wait for them to feed the meter with some more 50ps the new snazzy consultation website should have some pretty maps eventually.

Rather my impression, taking a look at various places I used to live; rather making me wonder if the old place had changed that much over the last 15 years or so.

Bridgnorth, Wellington and The Wrekin CC. Well done on the long name. Not contiguous and contains bits from two different regions. No part of Taunton Deane should be combined with Shropshire.

Of course what we're really looking out for is a situation where a sitting MP with a healthy majority suddenly finds their seat abolished without any warning, and with none of the surrounding seats being safe for their party so that even if neighbouring MPs decide to retire there still wouldn't be any guarantee of them being elected.
