All 117 parishes and parish wards making up the 41 parish councils in Milton Keynes were without political candidates in 2021 and 2023.
Only 12 wards were contested (7 in 2021 and 5 in 2023).
A co-ordinated group calling themselves "The Voice of Local Residents" won all 8 seats unopposed in Central Milton Keynes parish in 2021.

There will be two contested parish elections here:
Newport Pagnell Town Council: Newport Pagnell North 8 x No Description contesting 6 seats.
West Bletchley: Rivers 2 x No Description, 2 x Ind contesting 3 seats
While some candidates in both contests are far from Independent, we have a strong tradition that we don't do party politics at parish level (one of the reasons our parishes work) and anyone trying to stand as a party candidate is generally given a cold shoulder even by party supporters. Personally I hope that Ray Brady is the one to miss out in West Bletchley, there's a risk of a Brian Silvester wannabe who will use the title of Councillor to look more prominent than he is.

Newport Pagnell North: former borough Councillor Paul Alexander loses his town Council seat (gutted about this, he was a great friend when we were both on the Council, but he's not as active or fast as he was.) The unsuccessful Lib Dem borough candidate in Newport Pagnell North tops the poll as one of the successful candidates here.
Rivers: Ray Brady tops the poll! 2nd place a long-standing Parish Councillor and Labour activist. Ind beats No Description for the 3rd seat; I don't know either of them.
