Lots of parishes, but almost none of them with party candidates, and most uncontested. All parishes are up this year, though some last elected in 2023 and others in 2021:
2021:
Coxheath - 1 UKIP*, 9 []*
Hunton - 1 Green*, 4 []*
2023:
Bearsted - 1 Heritage Party*, 11 []*
Detling - British Democrats*, []*
Loose - 1 Con*, 8 []*
There was also a contested election in 2023 in Tovil where 11 of 12 non-party candidates were elected.

Downswood is a little worrying as it includes 2 far right associated individuals Mr Rustam who stood for Detling and got in unopposed as British Democrat, and Mr Butler formerly of National Front associations, who previously served on Tovil. The ballot also includes 2 candidates at least, who are involved in an attempt to get rid of the Parish Council Chairman and Clerk. apparently because they were advised they could not make comments on behalf of the Council as individuals (according to the Chairman) Candidates elected unopposed in Boxley Grove Green Ward include the current Green party Ward Councillor for the old ward, now aiming to be elected in Boxley Downs, which includes somewhat oddly Boxley North Parish, but not Grove Green and former Lib Dem Leader Martin Cox, now independent who is contesting that Ward in the Borough election. Boxley North has 2 sitting Tory Councillors on the ballot, although Bob Hinder is not standing again, the sitting Independent Ward Councillor Vanessa Jones and the Leader of the Lib dem group on MBC (all running as no description) The Lib Dem Group Leader was elected in Tovil last year but is concentrating elsewhere now having also been nominated for Detling where he is Chairman and being re-elected unopposed at Bearsted.

A generally very good operation marred slightly in Maidstone by a misdeclaration of a winning candidate in Boxley North ward with the wrong candidate declared to have won with Kaz Macklin wrongly declared to have won when it was actually Stephen Mayes. Both were existing Councillors.

Both were existing Councillors. Is this something that was able to be corrected, or will it now require a petition?

It was eventually corrected, just in time.

Ah apparently the error was not corrected and the wrong person duly attended as the declared winner gave the assembled members at the Parish Council AGM a lecture on democracy (ironic) which she apparently defines as those who do not agree with a majority's decisions must shut up do what they are told and quote "work collectively2 The Parish has a Standing Order banning Councillors from publicly commenting on anything except through the Chairman (even if its absolutely clear they are speaking as individuals)
