Biddick and All Saints - Green GAIN from Labour Chris Davies (GRN) - 1,006 Shiela Hussain (LAB) - 436 I'm sort of regular at The Last Orders while my wife has a clarinet lesson in Osprey Way, where the man who used to have UKIP posters had a green one this year. Strange bedfellows!

The South Tyneside Greens are very localist, I imagine there’s a good number of people who voted UKIP who are voting for them in local elections now.

The Greens actually topped the poll in the new South Shields constituency. A contender for most random (very) distant 2nd place at the forthcoming general election?

The Greens actually topped the poll in the new South Shields constituency. A contender for most random (very) distant 2nd place at the forthcoming general election? It's hardly surprising. However Emma Lewell-Buck and Kate Osborne are both critical of the council. I believe the unions, not the council, given that the MP supported the unions.
