New council: 15 LD, 11 Con, 2 Lab Even our successful candidate last year couldn't work out how he won Peel Common so that loss was expected. The Lee East hold is highly impressive.

The Tories will be defending a by-election coming up in Grange and Alver Valley where this year they only held off Labour by 11 votes.
