This is candidates for Nuneaton and Bedworth, although thank you for posting. I was looking for this.

Labour gained 3 from the Tories, there were a couple of close results for the Tories over Labour and one close result for the Tories over the Libdems.

Rugby...removing things that slow it down? Paging Khunanup! I heard they got this efficiency by getting rid of a couple of people. Apparently they were a pair of useless flankers...

Third: Con 6 (-3), Lab 5 (+3), LD 3 Council: Con 17 (-3), Lab 15 (+3), LD 10 Labour gain over Conservative in: Admirals and Cawston (by 475 votes) Coton and Boughton (by 332 votes) Newbold and Brownsover (by 287 votes) Close holds: Bilton (Con hold by 134 votes over LD) Clifton, Newton and Churchover (Con hold by 26 votes over Lab) Dunsmore (Con hold by 40 votes over LD) Eastlands (LD hold by 111 votes over Lab) Hillmorton (Con hold by 42 votes over Lab) Wolston and the Lawfords (Con hold by 88 votes over Lab) The Conservatives got quite lucky here, I think.

Some astonishing results there. I assume that the close call in Clifton etc. is because there's new housing on the edge of Brownsover which is making it marginal, but I don't have any explanation for how we got so close in Wolston & the Lawfords.

Only a small amount of the new housing north of Brownsover is in Clifton etc. Most of it is in Coton & Boughton (along with part of Brownsover proper). I agree that the Labour performance in these two village wards is astonishing. Good omens for winning the parliamentary seat.

No, but it was won with about 350 votes, which is about half the winning total anywhere else. That implies to me that there's a lot more development coming and it's going to end up as functionally a third Brownsover ward with a rural tail.

That implies to me that there's a lot more development coming and it's going to end up as functionally a third Brownsover ward with a rural tail. That's because it's a single member ward, whereas most wards have 3 councillors. It may of course be the case that more development will happen here in future, but the current wards in Rugby date back over a decade so don't take into account any recent planning proposals.
