Reform got 2 (both in the Leigh Park estate, but 3rd in 3 member wards where Labour only put up 2 candidates, I think maybe in an arrangement with the Greens?). Not clear whether Reform would have won these if Labour had put up 3 candidates. Seriously doubt if there was any deal between Labour and Green (if there was it was seriously unofficial). Pretty sure no Reform if Labour had put up three candidates. With the next election being in an assumed Labour government (and if they don't defect) I'd think there's a good chance of them holding on in '26 as well.

Conservatives are the largest party but this is one of those councils they used to completely dominate, often winning every ward. Final tally is C 13, Lab 10, L Dem 7, GP 4, Ref UK 2. I can see a rainbow coalition of Labour, Lib Dem and Green might appeal? www.havant.gov.uk/elections/election-resultsCon -17, Lab +6, LD +5, Grn +3, Ref +2, Ind -1 Bedhampton - 2 LD, 1 Con ( LD 1159/887, Con 767, LD 739, Con 650/576) Cowplain - 3 Con (Lab 156 votes away from a seat) Emsworth - 3 Grn Hart Plain - 3 Con (LD 84 votes away from a seat, Lab 91 votes away from a seat) Havant St Faiths - 3 Lab Hayling East - 2 Lab, 1 Grn ( Lab 1459, Grn 992, Lab 839, Con 806, Grn 751, Con 732/610, Grn 570) Hayling West - 3 LD Leigh Park Central & West Leigh - 2 Lab, 1 Reform UK ( Lab 655/521, Ref 430, Con 420/415, Grn 363, Con 338, LD 269/278) Leigh Park Hermitage - 2 Lab, 1 Reform UK ( Lab 499/472, Ref 381, Con 358/346/337, Grn 252, LD 227) Purbrook - 2 LD, 1 Con ( LD 979/933, Con 802/725/705, LD 649) Stakes - 2 Con, 1 Lab ( Con 741/682, Lab 624, Con 599, Lab 501) Waterloo - 3 Con I wonder if there is some non-Conservative winners who only ran because they were told they wouldn't win.

Out of the non-Conservative winners, probably the only one who came as a complete surprise was Labour winning one in Stakes. To the East of the A3(M) (the non-Waterlooville bit of the borough) everyone knew the Tories were in deep trouble and were expecting them to win very little. Though few expected them to win just the one in that entire area, none of the other party winners would have thought they weren't in with a chance.
