I was born in QPR territory (Paddington) and ended up supporting Tooting & Mitcham United. Think I win the shitness stakes. Have Toots & Mitch ever lost at home to Vauxhall Motors FC? When Vauxhall Motors beat you, they were a league above where we are now. We’ve had far worse defeats than that.

Considering the political turmoil we are in, there seem to be remarkably few defections being reported at the moment.

Also an uncertain time so your active grievances with a party could disappear on November 1st.

Also August so most people very unhappy with their parties are probably sitting on a beach somewhere with other things on their mind (and a chance to reflect on how big the grievances really are, at a distance.)

Cllr Debbie Newall (Breighmet, Bolton MBC) Lab to Ind To LibDem Councillor Party hold. Not sure being a Lib Dem will help her all that much compared with being Independent. Her seat is up next May and the Conservatives now hold the other two seats. The Lib Dems came fifth last year with fewer than 100 votes

Wouldnt surprise me. It's odd that she thought that the endless negative and hostile posts on her Twitter feed would have made members of her local party more likely to take her back.

Fiona Dryburgh, Cllr for East Kilbride South ward, South Lanarkshire Council - Lab to LibDem That's good news, given that there's a by-election in East Kilbride on 29th August where we could do with a bit of a lift.
