Again, why are you mentioning an obviously meaningless subsample?

Again, why are you mentioning an obviously meaningless subsample? Possibly as a wind-up?

Oh yes, it *amuses* me - but ComedyResults didn't get that nickname for nothing.

Is the underlying trend inherently funny? You may laugh at ComRes whilst the rest laugh at you!

Biggest Conservative lead whilst in government since September 1987, and the first over 20 points whilst in government since that year.
Yet Opinium say the lead is only 9%. I suspect the truth is somewhere in the middle.

You are aware that ComedyResults basically make their VI figures up, right?
(OK I exaggerate, but genuinely not by that much)
This "record breaking" poll also shows that Labour's recent policy announcements are almost all popular. Explain that one.

Oh well, apologies for merely pointing out a bit of polling history, whilst suggesting the lead is in fact somewhere between 9 and 21 points.
Perhaps we could lobby for ComRes to be struck off the British Polling Council if they're really that bad.

Bish likes to say stuff like that whenever the Conservatives have a larger than normal lead over Labour.

Please look at my past posting history, then. My disdain for ComedyResults is long standing They went about 18 months (until recently) without producing VI figures at all - maybe they should have stuck to that

We cannot conceive of any circumstances under which we would want Jeremy Corbyn as PM so it doesn't matter what he's proposing.

I fully understand that, but another apparent finding is that describing them as "Corbyn" rather than "Labour" policies made (surprisingly?) little difference.

I fully understand that, but another apparent finding is that describing them as "Corbyn" rather than "Labour" policies made (surprisingly?) little difference. It's hard to find a tax (someone richer than yourself) and spend policy the public don't individually like. Even ones as worryingly mad as forcing banks to stay open (how will they compete with online only banks like mine). The exception is welfare that the voter won't receive, and in these cases the public are to the right of me on occasion. When put together as a group people tend to be a lot more cautious, and decry the Labour same policies they individually support. Simultaneously they think the tories are cruel for enforcing 25% of what they would inflict on the benefit classes. Essentially the public aren't up to thinking about individual policies and rely on hazier overall conceptions. Their perception is Jeremy Corbyn is that he's a raving old lunatic, albeit a nice one.

I don't think people regard him as being a lunatic, just useless.
