Careful, she might Sioux. She wouldn't be the first Irish politician of Native American descent. That was Teepee O'connor. I'll get my mocassins.

It's at times like this when we have to remember that the Irish have been around for a very long time and far and wide in the world. Who can forget the esteemed first recorded Irishman who pops up in the Bible, Nic O'Demus...

Hmmmm… the other interesting wrinkle is the possible creation of a Rural Independents' Technical Group - it is being actively canvassed by Marian Harkin and Peader Toibin; a similar group in the last Dail included the re-elected Mattie McGrath, Michael Lowry, the Healey-Raes, Michael Collins and Noel Grealish (Dr. Michael Harty stood down). If you added Peter Fitzpatrick, Richard O'Donoghue and possibly Carol Nolan, that would be a powerful group in any possible coalition. The smell of rotting pork would be overwhelming. It wouldn't do the Indies any harm, but the other parties in the coalition....

Well, I'm sure Warrington North and South CLPs won't be vastly pleased to hear that.
