Yes. I have now submitted the data request data.gov.uk/data-requests/electorate-statistics-at-ward-levelI have a few ideas for the next release of Plan Builder. Comments and suggestions welcome. - User defined number of constituencies and allowed variance
- Import/Export direct to file
- Create a custom region by adding/removing LAs, e.g add N Lincs and NE Lincs to East Midlands
- Split wards by i) civil parish / community ii) drawing a line
- Constituency labels
- Some kind of screenshot / save as image
- Demographic data
- Notional results (maybe)
- Generate a 4/5 colour map
Who here feels that these additions to boundary assistant would be excellent? And would you pay for these extras? (personally, definitely YES!)

I feel that most of these extra features are not needed, especially when we need to draw constituencies with respect to community ties and legal parameters rather than with respect to notional results for a political party.
Demographic data can already be obtained elsewhere on the Boundary Assistant website.
Electoral Calculus can calculate notional results for you (although poorly).
The custom regions part would be useful e.g. for pairing North Lincolnshire with the rest of Lincolnshire as it was before 1983.

Split wards and notional results would be the best new features. greenhert It would be useful to have better nationals than Electoral Calculus (see Hexham for the most egregious example). The notionals be interesting, particularly for marginal seats and significantly reformed seats.

On the rare occasions I draw parliamentary seats I just use numbers.

Within the legal parameters set out by schedule 2 (except with reference to excluded island constituencies) of the 2011 Parliamentary Constituencies and Voting Systems Act, and as much as is practicable, yes.

Lets PM kevinlarkin and see if he could consider adding these features, perhaps we could crowdsource to help him?
