Great game, though so much of it comes down to the randomness of the order. I've scored as low as 3 and as high as 48 in my first five attempts.
Would like a version where you can 'eliminate' the ones you know and have a serious crack at getting them all.

And now I've just scored 0 by getting Ashfield and Sherwood mixed up.

For those who've enjoyed the game, we have made the share score function work better, so now it's easier to share on twitter. Also, you might not know that you can turn the party colours off with the toggle switch above the list of parties in the top left, to make it even harder. news.smarkets.com/politics/the-smarkets-constituency-game/

Pete Whitehead I'm pretty sure we win a constituency - it seems to imply that, but I picked Argyll and Bute and it still hasn't arrived. I'm hoping it comes with a boat and one of those little aeroplanes that can land on a loch.

I feel I ought to be able to get 650 if I try hard and take time, but in my two desultory efforts the best I managed was 35, carelessly confusing North Durham with North West Durham.

You have to take time and take breaks. The previous time I was having a good run (up to 167) but when I clicked on Derby North my mouse strayed onto Mid Derbyshire just as I clicked. Its tedious but you need to zoom in and pause before clicking to make sure the correct constituency is highlighted. When i did it yesterday I took a break at every 100 constituencies or so and even stopped to have dinner. I wonder if the fact it took so long from start to finish is why the sharing facility didn't appear at the end

I got 650 on my next go. My biggest area where I had to really stop and think carefully were the South Wales valleys and around Glasgow.

Unsurprisingly, Scotland is dead easy for me. But your shires with clandestine names (I'm looking at you Devizes and Wantage) can do one. My best streak is 18 and normally because of the abnormally high level of Scottish, Welsh and Yorkshire constituencies in a run.

Council maps for the 2022 Local Elections Handbook here (as pdfs): www.agrayarea.info/publications/2022councilmaps.pdfOnly England and Wales - the Scottish results don't go in the Local Elections Handbook, but I'll probably add the maps to this set in due course.

As I said before I keep geting Airdrie/Shotts and Coatbridge/Chryston mixed up. Suddenly thought of a way of avoiding the problem: by thinking of the old names of Monklands East and West where Airdrie is East and Coatbridge is West. You would be nearer the mark with Airdrie is Orange and Coatbridge is Green.

Your map for Norwich is missing the river that extends the city border quite some way to the East. But otherwise it all looks great.
