Tulsi Gabbard has left the Democratic Party. Well, knock me down... I'm surprised she hasn't joined the BJP. Her style has always been too confrontational (and, to be honest, too stupid) for her to be a really useful asset to the BJP. By contrast, Raja Krishnamoorthi will likely become the first overt Hindu nationalist in the Senate when Dick Durbin retires in Illinois, but nobody has really noticed this because he doesn't draw attention to that part of his record and instead represents himself as a good liberal. He will do much more damage in that position than she ever could. |
