This is rather embarrassing, but I am now informed by ProBoards Support that there is no limit at all to the number of forum groups I can create! This was not the impression I had previously been given. Perhaps there had been restrictions that have now been lifted, or Kris wanted to avoid being bombarded with daft requests. I want to remain selective about what sort of groups I create, to prevent the whole thing becoming a mess. I'd like to restrict it to non-aligned and political party support for now, but I can see the merit in carrying on with labels such as "Socialist", "British Nationalist" or introducing "Scottish unionist" (which ntyuk1707 once requested) and that sort of thing. You can send me a message if you want me to consider creating a new group on your behalf. Ooh, I'm so tempted to take advantage of this, were it not that I can't think of new a group to suggest for the life of me! Guess I'll be staying where I am for the time being.

Seeing as there's Socialist, there should be a Capitalist group. In the interests of equality, of course.

Seeing as there's Socialist, there should be a Capitalist group. I think most of the members who'd fit in there are (barring a couple of exceptions) currently in the Conservative group. Also, there technically is a Socialist Party of Great Britain (or some group(s) with a name to that effect), but not a Capitalist Party (well not to my knowledge anyway). Fancy a paying a visit to the Electoral Commission to rectify this omission?

Founded 1904 and still going strong. www.worldsocialism.org/spgb/They had a split in the 1990s with the breakaway groups forming 'Socialist Studies'. www.socialiststudies.org.uk

So other than any trouble it would cause to set up the grouping (already done by kris) It is just if someone else asks you to join it. I was quite happy to step aside if there was a limitation, as there isn't I stead fastly wish it to stay please and the freedom for others to join if they wish. There is no sub board, and to be honest if folks can't say to others what they want to discuss behind their backs, that is another subject. and as global mods and admin can see everything anyway it is hardly going to be private. I am not a floating voter, so non aligned to me does not fit, I have no desire for any political party at the moment to be thinking they have earnt my vote. As they have not. Non aligned gives the impression of not following any but vote for one of them.

At the moment, I'm a bit none of the above. I'd sit on my hands if there was an election tomorrow.

If you dont amount to 10% of the forum then your group room is going to be devoid of discussion. In reality, I doubt that any group room other than Labour and Conservative gets meaningful traffic. The Green group gets more than enough traffic to justify its existence. Plenty of meaningful discussion in there.

What's your most commented on/discussed thread about? Hummus. Don't think I've seen either humus or humous ever mentioned on any thread. I might make it my aim to mention humus on any thread I can, as at present, the decline in humus in agricultural soils is leading towards one of our worst environmental catastrophes. Hope you are happy now.

No, as he has explained in a parting post on the Aberdeenshire thread.

No, as he has explained in a parting post on the Aberdeenshire thread. "Someone" made him feel uncomfortable apparently. He doesn't really go into depth though.

A shame. When he first joined here I found cybernat extremely irritating but that was probably more a reflection of me than of him.

I also found his later posts far more tolerable than his earlier ones. This is mainly because I didn't read them

For advance notice to the UKIP aligned forum members I wish to advise that I have just now requested to Swancardian that I be moved from the UKIP leaning description to the UKIP description. I hope noone is put out of joint as a result or that I am not currently a party member.
There are two reasons.
1. The wish of the forum owner to delete the 'leaning' descriptions due to an apparent limit to the total number of available descriptions. 2. Rather than purging away as I feared and many probably hoped Ms James appears to be making an honest attempt at internal reconciliation.

I should point out that it has transpired there aren't any limits to the number of groups allowed on this forum, despite Kris having said there were a while back. Either ProBoards changed things or Kris wanted to avoid receiving daft requests. However, I have re-assigned independentukip as requested, bringing the total number of UKIP members of this forum to nineteen.
