Can there be a non-aligned/independent room? With the party rooms they work because (there ought to be) a common thread that brings its members together be it matters such as party membership and/or common ideology or whatnot. I'm not sure how an independent/non-aligned room would work considering that the only common denominator per se would be the absense of any overt partisan leanings, and certainly no semblance of ideological coherance whatsoever. Maybe those who want a room could set up a Technical Group. |

Now we await the rigmarole all over again. No it's not. He's taken an action that he as an individual considers to be appropriate. It doesn't affect anyone but himself, I'm unsure as to why there's so much consternation or comment on account deletions generally, let alone Dok's. People don't own this site or any of its posters anything, it's merely a place where we choose to post or not as it suits. |

He needs to accept that there are always going to be people who aren't going to agree with him, or people he dislikes or despises, and accept it. Taking a dislike to someone or something and then repeatedly flouncing out is the behaviour I'd expect of a particularly spoilt teenage girl, not, as he is, an adult human male approaching middle age. To expect basic adult standards of behaviour isn't some great imposition upon him or some unreasonable expectation on my part. |

No, it’s just regrettable that when you think you’ve got rid of a turd it resurfaces a little while later.
Hopefully, however on a serious point, this new resurface will be a more pleasant experience for the rest of us.
Time will tell.

Let's not forget that Dok was being taunted by the individual who has resurfaced, who used Dok's real name and incidents from his private life to bully him. When a similar thing happened to Forfarshire Conservative you were pretty unhappy about it too.

Let's not forget that Dok was being taunted by the individual who has resurfaced, who used Dok's real name and incidents from his private life to bully him. When a similar thing happened to Forfarshire Conservative you were pretty unhappy about it too. I reacted to Boothroyd in the correct manner however and laughed at him and I specifically asked for the image not to be removed at the time because his actions spoke for themselves. I was, and am, also not ashamed to say that I suffered from health problems, physical and mental, in my youth and that has meant that I am on a long journey to better health. Indeed, since the incident you cite, I have been quite open about that. Also, I'm not quite sure it's the same to be honest. One was taking an image from my social media, copying it without my permission and posting it here without my permission. This was an action that forced me to reveal parts of my past and present that were not in the public domain. This was not the case with Doktorb, who has been an elected official and has a tendency to overshare. So there's a huge difference there. |

Yes indeed everyone is different in the way they respond, react and make use of this site. So please stop trying to gatekeep and try to impose your judgemental response to a particular poster's deletion. Long before you joined this site, on here and its predecessors there have been many who have either deleted their accounts, or just stopped posting regularly which is regrettable, but ultimately it's their choice and they own no explanation to anyone. Some will mean more to some other posters than others, but this forum always evolves and adapts, and ultimately is open to virtually everyone. And is the stronger for it. |
