wallington appears to have defected from Green to non-aligned today. Interestingly, his final post in the Green Party forum has been liked by AdminSTB , who is definitely not a Green.

I habitually read the forum using "Recent Posts" as I find it easier to catch up that way, rather than clicking in individual threads. By default I can access the entire forum and I can't always tell which posts come from the private party boards, and I want those with access to continue their quiet enjoyment of them. I've also managed to click on "Edit" instead of "Quote" on your post, which is why it says I've amended your post. Epic fail swan. It's been an awful day all round, what with all this High Court stuff. Time for bed, I think.

'Green leaning' may have have been a better new description but I will stick with non algined. I still plan to vote Green (as long as I have the choice ). I just don't feel I can continue as a member of the party. I have been a member of the party for ten years and it was a very hard decision for me to make as I have made tonnes of friends, but my heart just isn't in it anymore.

Whereas some of us always expect to see them contemplating the stars. To be fair, the stars at night are much prettier than a close-up of a muddy field.

Doesn't that just mean he's been given some promotion by Swan? I was a 'top poster' once I think it's a title everyone gets when they pass a certain number of posts. You can choose to show it in your profile settings. But it replaces your current political alignment? Would be better to have both?

I see that Jack has ditched his bright-yellow name colour... Telltale! But yes. It's mostly Sarah Olney's fault. Andrew Neil asked her last night whether she was going to defy the majority who voted Leave when a vote on Article 50 happens in the Commons, and she just said "Yes". She's probably a minority within the Lib Dems, but clearly I don't share that sort of anti-democratic sentiment.

So, going to rejoin the Grey Group, or do you fancy your chances with the Blue Team instead?

Maybe I've been Conservative all along.

MPs from all the major parties are likely to do that, not just LibDems. I would have waited for any actual vote on A50 myself.

To be fair to her, she is the one person in the commons with an explicit mandate to vote against A50. I was als impressed with (and I think Neil seemed a bit nonplussed by) a clear one word answer to the question No one actually has a mandate to vote for A50 as that wasn't actually on the referendum ballot paper, just a vague opinion as to what teh UK should do, with no detail about how to achieve it 😉

She is supposed to represent her constituents, who voted 72%ish for Remain. Voting no would be a betrayal of her constituents.

Don't know why people get angry when someone says they are going to vote for the interests and views of the people they represent. It is mystifying to want something else.
