I'm on my lunch, a naked David Cameron is spoiling my sandwich. Is that a ham sandwich? 😂. Mercifully it's not pulled pork. (Tuna and cucumber, as it happens. Made by "The Sandwich King", LS7.)

We're not far right and there's no movent building around Edward fucking Colston. To be frank, someone from the anti human Green Party calling names and casting aspersions really is bold. I've met many members since I joined the Green Party. Everyone of them was human, so I'm not really sure how we are an anti-human party. Certainly we acknowledge that the planet is not solely comprised of humans but has other lifeforms on it that should be afforded some consideration.

No, we do not. We propose that we amend our ways and begin to show more consideration for our common planet.

Actually we are seeing some of it right now. More people walking and cycling. Electric and hybrid cars selling at record numbers (20%+ of market share for the year to date). More people choosing vegetarian and vegan lifestyles (note: choosing). Record amounts of renewable energy being generated. Companies reducing single use plastics due to consumer demand. Progress is being made, the pace just needs to pick up a little with a nudge here and a nudge there.

OK - but there was certainly a view held by Jonathan Porritt, for example, that the issue of population management did need to be on the agenda, which was nothing to do with 'culling' anyone, but certainly an awareness of the challenge of population growth and the need to maintain sustainability. So, amending our ways might mean having fewer kids, as far as the west is concerned anyway.

Agree with most of that, and one of the good things to come out of the pandemic is that there may be a move in the right direction on many fronts across much of the world directly as a result. One of the exceptions though might be on single use plastics- surely there is a big expansion in relation to PPE, etc, and I don't know how much that is offset by its reduction in other fields. Will be interested to see how these figures stack up in a years time.

No, we do not. We propose that we amend our ways and begin to show more consideration for our common planet. Unless we have global transformation and everyone accepting lower standards of living I am not sure how this is possible without reducing the population. Use more imagination. Try to get away from the right wing mindset that most people are a problem rather than an asset. There is more than enough energy available from sun, wind and sea to provide all our energy needs if we were to put the effort into harnessing them. Once you've got the energy issue sorted everything else is easy, ultimately almost everything is energy when you come down to it (modern agriculture has been described as the process of turning oil into food.) If done properly it would also involve massive improvements in quality of life (90% of buildings put up since 1900 would aesthetically be improved by having green walls and a green roof put on them; almost everyone would be healthier if eating less meat, more and better fruit and vegetables, health and general enjoyment of life massively improved by elimination of air and noise pollution from petrol vehicles; higher construction standards would give us better homes; etc etc.) What it would take is humungous investment in research and in infrastructure. But that does not necessarily involve lower living standards since the investment would be pumped into the economy.

Hear Hear! With a clear impetus for a substantial stimulus program post-corona, there had never been a better time to start funding the needed investment.

No, we do not. We propose that we amend our ways and begin to show more consideration for our common planet. The Green Party support the aims of XR to reduce emissions to net zero in roughly four years. That would mean the end of human life as we know it. State sponsored rations, mandatory abortions to control resource consumption, state control of huge aspects of life and condemning billions in LEDC's to penury. That's anti human.

That is your opinion, not any statement of Green Party policy. I could equally say that the Conservative Party is anti-human for its unwavering support of ruthless cut-throat capitalism, lack of concern for the planet and pursuit of ideological welfare reforms that destroy people's lives, but that wouldn't make it true. Though having said that...

Though having said that... We don't support "cut throat capitalism", what bullshit! "Lack of concern for the planet"? Cameron had that whole green malarkey, Carrie herself is a verified tree hugger and has influenced Tory policy accordingly. You also said I didn't talk about Green Policy. You support XR's aims, indeed your god bothering co leader got arrested at the demos, how will you achieve them on time without the actions I said?

If you are really interested, go away and read our manifesto. I don't need to. Whatever's in it, it won't achieve net zero by 2025.

Let's be honest, net zero by 2025 can probably not be achieved and even the XR leadership probably know that. But if they say 2025, it might happen by 2030 or 2035. If they say 2035, it will be more like 2050. If you start out saying 2050, it will be something like 2065. And that's too late. Its the same reason increasing speed limits on motorways will never happen. If you say 70, people drive at 80, so if you say 80, its more like 90.

I sometimes think members of Labour, Lib Dems and Greens don't want to understand that there is a gap in the market for a new party when the Conservatives become Centerist.
To me this party would stand on a platform
Nationalism Free Market Tax and Benefit Reform Law and Order Vote Reform (against its general inclination) Work hard, keep your cash Be Lazy, be poor.
It appeals to many, especially when those seen as feckless are revolting.

And - electorally - it would be of benefit to our parties for such a party to emerge.

The disintegration of the far right into more squabbling factions over the BLM protests is just the icing on the cake. And the idea of Farage building a new movement based around the fall of Edward Colston... "Give me statues of slave traders, or give me death!"

If you are really interested, go away and read our manifesto. Nobody needs to read your silly little manifesto to understand the evil that lies at the heart of green ideology.
