Moving closer to my tongue-in-cheek suggestion that, as there is no language in the law regarding the size of the Isle of Wight constituencies, surely one constituency within the mainland deviation and one extra-tiny constituency is more in keeping with the malicious spirit of the law than balancing the electorates of the two undersized Wight constituencies. We'll get them there in the end.

Satirists would be proud of the stuff about giving Brighton Pavilion access to the sea. I am pleased though that there have been some sensible changes in this region, including those I suggested in Sussex and Kent. It's a shame that most of the other regions have spent the last few months just twiddling their thumbs.

All looks ok - apart from the inexplicable decision to rename Lewes and Uckfield 'Lewes and West Wealden'.

I was amused that one of the reasons the BCE gave for this split was to give Caroline Lucas a sea view. She had actually been making the augment that it was unjust that a Brighton constituency had no sea view. Seems the BCE agreed 😂😂 The Brighton North seat would have also had no usable internal transport connections so it would have been unviable anyway.

The Reading West constituency is quite bad.

The Reading West constituency is quite bad. There's also that orphan Surrey ward in the Windsor seat; admittedly this is not a place I'm familiar with, but it seems really inelegant. I think there were better proposals for Berkshire posted on here. And then there's East Oxfordshire, which I think is one of the worst proposals in the whole country. There was no shortage of comments from the Bicester area pointing out the problems with it.
