Some good changes in Kent:
All of Maidstone including its satellite estates in one seat for the first time in ages.
All of Broadstairs and Margate in one seat and removal of the southern rural tail around Chillenden and Ware.
Impact on marginal Canterbury will be interesting with Whitstable taken out and replaced with Faversham and Aylesham.

Possibly although Faversham is not without Labour voters and Aylesham is a Labour stronghold. I don't really understand the rationale for detaching that from Dover and replacing it with the Little Stour & Ashstone ward when they could just have added the latter to Canterbury and left Dover alone. Wingham has far better links to Canterbury than anywhere in the proposed Dover seat

Keep Aylesham with Canterbury but also add Little Stour etc and remove Sesalter to join the rest of Whitstable in the North Kent Coast seat which then send Garlinge and Westbrook to the Thanet East seat thus re-uniting all of Margate. Sandwich then goes to Dover

Minimum change would just be to move Ticehurst into Tunbridge Wells & Crowborough, then you only have one cross-border seat. Just been looking at this area and in fact the numbers allow for this ward to return to Bexhill & Battle which makes it even more of a mystery why they've created a cross county seat here and that therefore avoids TW& C taking parts of three districts. You could equalise the electorates a bit by moving the rather awkward Cross in Hand/Five Ashes ward the other way

So I'm new at doing all this but boundaries are something that's fascinated me for a while now but I've never sat down properly and had a go at doing my own, I've always looked at what other people have done or what the other parties have done and done comparisons and worked out some notional figures. Anyway, decided to just have a go myself and see where it took me - it's a very first try in the area that I know best. This is very much just me playing about and seeing what would happen but would still like to know people's thoughts or whether I should forget trying to do my own and just appreciate and tinker with other people's, as I was doing. Oxfordshire has been slightly improved, but is still a bit of a mess, with what is now proposed to be called "East Oxfordshire" still apparently trying to wrap its tentacles around Bicester and Abingdon & Oxford North having been extended both north and south, but at least no longer crossing the Thames east of Abingdon. One area where a new review with an accurate electorate for Oxford and the up to date Bicester boundaries would be very welcome. Not just wrapping around Bicester - the old boundaries means that a major new housing development is cleaved off the edge. People who live in (most of) Kingsmere would have a different MP from the rest of the town. I did a lot of work on the rewarding and the entire point of Bicester South and Ambrosden was to end up with coherent constituency boundaries in the future, encompassing Kingsmere and Graven Hill.

Have been very very close to ditching the blue since June.

I’d love to know what you think of my prospective Kent proposals. I assume they’d be far too “radical and destructive” for the Boundary Commission but I would argue far more sensible than the current arrangement… see what you think 1. Dartford and Swanley (71,870) – less Hartley, Greenhithe, Swanscombe, Longfield from the current constituency; gains the Swanley wards from Sevenoaks (Hextable, White Oak, St Mary’s, Christchurch). 2. Gravesend and Ebbsfleet (72,680) – gains Ebbsfleet wards from Dartford; loses Shorne, Higham, Meopham x2. 3. Strood and Snodland (75,845) – new seat: Strood and the Hoo Peninsula, Meopham et al from Gravesham, Hartley from Dartford, Ash from Sevenoaks, Snodland from Chatham. 4. Sevenoaks (73,647) – takes back southern Sevenoaks district wards, loses Swanley; gains Hildenborough, Borough Green and Wrotham from Tonbridge. 5. Tonbridge and Malling (72,302) – loses wards as detailed above; gains Southborough N and Speldhurst from Tunbridge Wells; takes Larkfield, Ditton and Aylesford S from Chatham. 6. Tunbridge Wells and Crowborough (72,666) – includes 11 wards from Wealden; Tunbridge Wells less rural wards and Southborough N, Speldhurst, Pembury. 7. Rochester and Chatham (74,880) – unites two closely linked Medway towns; includes Aylesford N and Walderslade. 8. Gillingham and Rainham (73,293) – takes Hartlip from Sittingbourne and Sheppey. 9. Maidstone (75,323) – takes in all of Maidstone’s urban wards. 10. Sittingbourne and Sheppey (71,235) – less Hartlip. 11. Canterbury and Faversham (73,733) – fairly straightforward, includes Aylesham and Little Stour from Dover district. 12. North Kent Coast (75,023) – North Kent Coast from Seasalter to Westgate-on-Sea; notice how I haven’t used “Coastal”, which for some reason I find incredibly irritating in constituency names. Maybe a slightly awkward split at Westgate but it allows for a nice neat Thanet seat. 13. Thanet (78,130) – could be renamed East Thanet if you wanted to be pedantic. 14. Ashford (73,194) – loses Western wards to Central; takes back Saxon Shore. I find its shape strangely pleasing to the eye! 15. Folkestone (77,333) – loses Saxon Shore, arbitrary “Hythe” from the name. 16. Dover (74,928) – loses Aylesham, takes back Sandwich (hurray). 17. Central Kent (74,670) – everything left over! Probably not the best model for a seat but it seems to be the inevitable consequence of forming coherent constituencies in the rest of the county.

I would say that what you've done in the East of Kent is better than the West. In particular its the seat of 'Strood and Snodland' and around it that bothers me - which would be too 'radical' as you've suggested. I prefer the existing Medway arrangement although, and would change the name from 'North Kent Coast' just to plain 'Herne Bay (and Whitstable).'

They've split Queen's Park ward in Brighton to allow them not to split Newhaven. I was amused that one of the reasons the BCE gave for this split was to give Caroline Lucas a sea view.

The change in Milton Keynes may well help the Tories hold MK South at the next election. Much harder for Labour without their Wolverton stronghold.
