Hello,
I was wondering whether anyone knows whether results from individual ballot boxes are recorded at elections, and if so are these available for public viewing?
Thanks

Results by ballot box announced as standard practice? That's just about every British psephologist's ultimate dream.

Results by ballot box announced as standard practice? That's just about every British psephologist's ultimate dream. Combined with the creation of smaller polling districts ....

Hello, I was wondering whether anyone knows whether results from individual ballot boxes are recorded at elections, and if so are these available for public viewing? Thanks No they are not. In contrast with most other countries, the law in the UK specifically says that the votes from different ballot boxes must be mixed up before they have been counted. Watching them as they come out of the ballot boxes in the first place is the nearest we can get.

I would suggest one stage at a time, let's campaign for ward data first of all, wait a bit to see if that works, then campaign for ballot box data

In Scotland, they reduced the risk of that by mixing in boxes from say a small hamlet with other boxes.
